A change of culture is always a challenge in which you are not only confronted with a foreign culture, but above all with yourself. In general, the term culture shock (Oberg, 1960; Wagner, 1996) refers to the difficulties associated with adapting to a new cultural environment. The confrontation with the unknown often triggers unexpected reactions of one's own, which can lead to study difficulties and private problems. However, a more precise knowledge of these processes can help to cope more successfully with the cultural change.
